The WCT-Alberta Director at Large will be a key player who can jump right in to work as a team in support of our chapter’s programs and strategies!  The focus of this role is to lead and/or contribute to the delivery of signature events, including activities such as: 

• Identification of event opportunity, development of program plan, and execution of plan deliverables
• Secure participation from key industry leaders and general members/public and manage relationships with key stakeholders
• Liaise with WCT National as required
• Set up event technology and ensure smooth execution
• Coordinate with Treasurer to ensure interlock of revenue and costs
• Ensure regular updates to Board, with recommendations for key decisions and support required
• Build or coordinate communications plan
• Post-mortem lessons-learned development, and survey execution
• Attending all board meetings, and committee meetings as required
• Other programs and strategy support as required

The ideal candidate probably has some of these attributes or experiences in their background:

• Previous experience with a non-profit board
• General business delivery experience - projects, programs
• A desire to be a champion for gender equity and provide opportunities for women in their professional pursuits
• Strong ownership and accountability mindset
• Passionate about making a difference, and working collaboratively with a board to have fun along the way
