TORONTO; March 3, 2021– Women in Communications and Technology (WCT) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced today the expansion of their partnership to support the advancement of women as leaders in Canada’s digital economy.
As part of this expanded partnership, WCT is pleased to welcome Dennis McCatty, Vice President - Storage and Operational Services Sales Canada at HPE, to WCT’s National Board of Directors.
“Today more than ever, it is paramount that we keep fighting to narrow the gender technology gap and empower women to create innovative solutions to advance equality,” says McCatty. “HPE is committed to incorporating more women and minorities in technology positions, as well as helping to expand women’s role in developing technology, which will lead to increasing productivity and improving lives.”
“When companies like HPE and individuals like Dennis engage for equality, it moves diversity and inclusion forward across the entire digital community,” says Joanne Stanley, Executive Director of WCT. “We’re excited to deepen our relationship with a company that recognizes and champions the importance of diverse voices and perspectives at decision-making tables.”
In sponsoring WCT, HPE is joining forces with companies in the digital economy across Canada who are working to ensure women achieve their highest career potential. HPE employees will gain access to WCT’s wide range of professional development, networking and mentorship programs, as well as programming and events through WCT’s regional chapters across Canada.
